Mike Denman
Value Delivered
Mike began his career with Basin Industrial X-Ray in 1982 in various supporting roles include NDE Apprentice, Technician, Operations Manager to Executive Partner / Consultant. In this current role, Mike’s responsibilities include oversight leadership direction for all phases of business development, execution and the financial status of Basin Industrial X-Ray.
His intent is to ensure that the direction of Basin’s overall efforts focus on fulfillment of the customer’s needs and requirements and to actively pursue ever-improving quality through training programs that enable all employees to perform tasks correctly the first time and every time.
Expertise
In the 30 plus years of being associated with the oil and gas industry, Mike has primarily been in the reliability, NDE and welding side of the business. Mike holds and maintains multiple industry certifications including Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), API certifications include API-570, and API-510 and ANSI Level III certifications.
The Personal Side
Mike and his wife, Dawn, have been married for 32 years and have two sons. Mike enjoys fishing, hunting, camping, and working with industry training for youth.
Melynda Heflin
CEO / CFO
Melynda (Denman) Heflin has been with Basin since 1980 in various capacities. In 2014, she came into the organization as Office Manager. In 2016, when she and Michael took over the operations of Basin, they knew exactly what direction they wanted to go. Their desire was to provide a complete NDE inspection company that would be able to accommodate any size project in a cost-efficient manner while providing reliable and well-trained technicians.
As Chief Financial Officer and Procurement Manager, Melynda is available to help customers with billing or payment questions, as well as assure that all contracts or MSA’s are completed correctly according to the client’s specific requirements.
Albert Lopez
RSO / Operations Manager
In June 2017. Albert Lopez was brought into the Basin Management Team. He brings with him 26 years of NDE experience which includes refineries, pipeline, and fabrication shop applications.
Mr. Lopez heads up our Radiation Safety Program to ensure that all NRC requirements are met and each technician is in compliance with ASNT guidelines. He has also implemented an ongoing, mandatory NDE and HSE training program for our technicians. This will ensure that each job will be completed according to our client’s requirements and regulations. He is the first line of contact between Basin and our clients. This will include submitting bids or proposals and addressing client concerns and questions to provide our clients with a cost-efficient and safe project.
Cassidy Watts
Compliance Manager
In 2015, Cassidy joined the Basin organization. She brought five years of chemist’ experience in a petroleum laboratory dealing directly with refinery representatives and organizing and distributing analytical reports.
Mrs. Watts is the first contact for our clients regarding questions concerning all aspects of OSHA, ISNetworld, Veriforce, DOT, and NCMS requirements. She also ensures that certifications or training is completed and current for each technician including client specific requests.
